You’ve found me. This is good. Please, come in. I should tell you what it’s like in my writing hut, alone for days on end—well—for starters I begin to feel as though I should be doing something practical, like sweeping the streets. Unfortunately, my bio doesn’t mention any such thing. Dreaming up stories, one is hardly in contact with the physical world at all. I’m sorry to say that a writer lives largely in the imaginal realm. Actually, I’m not sorry at all. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Words are worlds. A story is an entire universe. My books are certainly big in the geographic sense. Check out the cover of my teen-lit novel, Roxy, and see how the artist has brilliantly depicted the scope of my far-flung story. Open that cover and you’ll find my protagonist on a journey to the dark side. She wouldn’t have it any other way, either. Trust me, people don’t see themselves stuck forever in The Valley of the Happy Nice People. That’s because growing up involves facing our demons. Never a pretty sight.
My blog is dedicated to exploring the ‘meaning of life’. Movies and books often contain rare glimpses. So, my ‘meaning of life blog’ is a way for me to keep watching, reading, and growing that all-important larger perspective.
You can check out articles I’ve written for various publications, including “What Makes a Good Tattoo”. From time to time I’ll offer treats —such as free downloads of chapters of my next book. Or dispatches from Roxy in the aftermath of the shocking events that finally gave her life meaning. And I’m just working on an eBook that will be published soon. Yours for free. Stay tuned …
Don’t be a stranger.
